विश्वविद्यालय, मुरथल के कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग विभाग की प्रो सुमन सांगवान ने कहा कि रिमोट सेंसिंग के माध्यम से हम मानव का कल्याण कर सकते हैं। यह एक अंतरविषयक विषय है,जिस पर सबको मिलकर कार्य करना होगा।
प्रो सांगवान डीसीआरयूएसटी, मुरथल के कंप्यूटर साइंस इंजीनियरिंग विभाग द्वारा एआईसीटीई के सहयोग से आयोजित शॉर्ट टर्म कोर्स पर बतौर विशेषज्ञ बोल रही थी। कार्यशाला में 6 राज्यों से 71 प्रतिभागी शामिल हुए हैं। सेंसर द्वारा एकत्र किए गए डेटा के विश्लेषण के माध्यम से जमीन, पानी, वस्तु या घटना के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।
प्रो सांगवान ने कहा कि सुदूर संवेदन के साथ बड़े डेटा, आईओटी, क्लाउड कंप्यूटिंग और मशीन लर्निंग जैसी नई तकनीकों का समावेश मानव जाति की बेहतरी के लिए नए प्रयोगों के नए युग के लिए डेटा एकत्र करने, विश्लेषण और व्याख्या करने के नए तरीके प्रदान करता है। उन्होंने कहा कि रिमोट सेंसिंग के प्रयोग कृषि, भूमि उपयोग और मृदा वर्गीकरण, जल विज्ञान, आपदा नियंत्रण, मौसम विज्ञान, महासागरीय अनुप्रयोग, महाद्वीपों महासागर, हिम ग्लेशियरों के बारे में पर्यावरण की जानकारी, बर्फ के पिघलने, बाढ़ अलार्म, खाद्य सुरक्षा निगरानी, जल गुणवत्ता निगरानी, ग्लोबल वार्मिंग से भिन्न होते हैं। , वैश्विक परिवर्तन, वैश्विक वन संसाधनों का मूल्यांकन, वानिकी, जीवाश्म ईंधन और तेल जमा जैसे गैर नवीकरणीय संसाधनों की खोज के लिए।
प्रो सांगवान ने आगे जोर देकर कहा कि सुदूर संवेदन में अनुसंधान को हम भौगोलिक सीमाओं में नहीं बांध सकते। स्पेक्ट्रम नए प्रयोगों के लिए, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, कंप्यूटर, भौतिकी, एयरोस्पेस इंजीनियरों, भूवैज्ञानिकों जैसे विभिन्न विषयों के शोधकर्ताओं और वैज्ञानिकों को हाथ मिलाना पड़ता है।
