स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के अनुसार, पिछले 24 घंटों में 35,178 नए सीओवीआईडी -19 मामले सामने आए, जो मंगलवार को दर्ज किए गए 25,166 मामलों से लगभग 40 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्शाता है, जो कि 154 दिनों में संख्या में सबसे कम एक दिन की वृद्धि थी। सुबह 8 बजे अपडेट किए गए आंकड़ों के अनुसार, 440 ताजा मौतों के साथ मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 4,32,519 हो गई। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने कहा कि सक्रिय मामले घटकर 3,67,415 हो गए, जो 148 दिनों में सबसे कम है, और कुल संक्रमणों का 1.14 प्रतिशत है, जो मार्च 2020 के बाद सबसे कम है।

आंकड़ों में कहा गया है कि बीमारी से स्वस्थ होने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 3,14,85,923 हो गई, जबकि मृत्यु दर 1.34 प्रतिशत है। राष्ट्रव्यापी टीकाकरण अभियान के तहत अब तक कुल मिलाकर 56.06 करोड़ COVID-19 वैक्सीन खुराक दी जा चुकी हैं। देश भर में COVID-19 की स्थिति में उल्लेखनीय सुधार करते हुए, भारत ने मंगलवार को पिछले 24 घंटों में कोरोनावायरस संक्रमण के 25,166 नए मामले दर्ज किए थे।
केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के अनुसार, 25,166 COVID-19 मामलों की एक दिन की वृद्धि 154 दिनों में सबसे कम थी। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों में कहा गया है कि सक्रिय मामले घटकर 3,69,846 हो गए, जो 146 दिनों में सबसे कम है। इसके साथ, स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने कहा कि वसूली दर बढ़कर 97.51 प्रतिशत हो गई है। साथ ही, सोमवार को 15,63,985 परीक्षण किए गए, जिससे देश में COVID-19 का पता लगाने के लिए अब तक किए गए संचयी परीक्षण 49,66,29,524 हो गए। दैनिक पॉजिटिव दर 1.61 प्रतिशत दर्ज की गई थी। पिछले 22 दिनों से यह तीन फीसदी से भी कम है।
भारत का COVID-19 टैली 7 अगस्त, 2020 को 20 लाख, 23 अगस्त को 30 लाख, 5 सितंबर को 40 लाख और 16 सितंबर को 50 लाख को पार कर गया था। यह 28 सितंबर को 60 लाख, 11 अक्टूबर को 70 लाख को पार कर गया था। 29 अक्टूबर को 80 लाख, 20 नवंबर को 90 लाख और 19 दिसंबर को एक करोड़ का आंकड़ा पार किया। भारत ने 4 मई को दो करोड़ और 23 जून को तीन करोड़ के गंभीर मील के पत्थर को पार कर लिया।
