तमिलनाडु: तमिलनाडु बजट सत्र के दौरान विधायकों को नहीं मिलेगा ‘मुफ्त खाना और गिफ्ट: रिपोर्ट
तमिलनाडु के मुख्यमंत्री एमके स्टालिन ने विभागों के प्रमुखों और मंत्रियों को बजट सत्र के दौरान विधायकों को मुफ्त भोजन और उपहार देने की वर्षों पुरानी प्रथा को जारी नहीं रखने का आदेश दिया है। बदले में विधायकों को भोजन की अपनी व्यवस्था करने या विधानसभा पेंट्री में रखने के लिए कहा गया।
चेन्नई: तमिलनाडु के मुख्यमंत्री एमके स्टालिन ने विभागों के प्रमुखों और मंत्रियों को बजट सत्र के दौरान विधायकों को मुफ्त भोजन और उपहार देने की वर्षों पुरानी प्रथा को जारी नहीं रखने का आदेश दिया है। बदले में विधायकों को भोजन की अपनी व्यवस्था करने या विधानसभा पेंट्री में रखने के लिए कहा गया। वाद-विवाद और वाकआउट के अलावा, विधानसभा बजट सत्र विधायकों, मंत्रियों, पुलिस अधिकारियों, सचिवालय कर्मचारियों और पत्रकारों के लिए प्रत्येक विभाग द्वारा प्रदान किए गए लंच के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध रहा है, जब उनकी अनुदान की मांग की गई थी।

कई मीडिया रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, सत्रों के दौरान, सदस्यों को मंत्रियों से लक्जरी उपहार भी मिलेंगे और यह एक दशक से अधिक समय से चल रहा है। विधानसभा कानून बनाने और बौद्धिक बहस के लिए सर्वोच्च मंच है और यह अपनी सादगी के लिए जानी जाती है। लेकिन उपहार और भोजन इसकी गरिमा और मर्यादा को कम कर रहे हैं।” रिपोर्ट में आगे कहा गया है कि प्रत्येक विभाग 1000 से अधिक लोगों को खिलाने के लिए हर दिन कम से कम तीन लाख खर्च कर रहा है और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री जे जयललिता की मृत्यु के बाद दोपहर के भोजन और उपहार की लागत बढ़ गई है।
