नई दिल्ली: देश की राजधानी दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने गुरुवार को गाजीपुर लैंडफिल साइट का दौरा किया, जब उन्होंने भाजपा पर तीन कचरे के पहाड़ बनाने और राजधानी को कचरे से भरने का आरोप लगाया। अपनी यात्रा की घोषणा करते हुए एक ट्वीट में उन्होंने लोगों से यात्रा पर उनके साथ आने का आग्रह किया था।
केजरीवाल ने बुधवार को एक ट्वीट में हिंदी में लिखा: “मैंने उनके एक नेता से पूछा- आपने 15 साल में नगर निगम में क्या काम किया है? उन्होंने दो बातें कही, 1. तीन बड़े कचरे के पहाड़ बनाओ 2. पूरी दिल्ली भर गई कूड़ा-करकट के साथ। कल सुबह मैं उनका गाजीपुर कचरा पहाड़ देखने जाऊँगा। आप भी मेरे साथ होइए।
इनके एक नेता से मैंने पूछा – 15 साल में नगर निगम में क्या काम किया?
शर्माते हुए उसने दो काम बताये –
1. तीन बड़े बड़े कूड़े के पहाड़ बनाये
2. पूरी दिल्ली को कूड़ा कूड़ा कर दियाकल सुबह इनका ग़ाज़ीपुर वाला कूड़े का पहाड़ देखने जाऊँगा। आप भी आइयेगा

हाल ही में, नेशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्यूनल (एनजीटी) ने एनसीटी दिल्ली सरकार को पर्यावरण मुआवजे के भुगतान के लिए उत्तरदायी ठहराया। दिल्ली में पुराने अपशिष्ट स्थलों के संचालन में ठोस अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन नियम, 2016 के कथित उल्लंघन के संबंध में 900 करोड़ रुपये।
समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई के अनुसार, 11 अक्टूबर को न्यायमूर्ति आदर्श कुमार गोयल की अध्यक्षता वाली पीठ ने कहा कि वह दिल्ली के एनसीटी को पर्यावरणीय मुआवजे के भुगतान के लिए उत्तरदायी ठहराती है। तीन लैंडफिल साइटों पर 3 करोड़ मीट्रिक टन की सीमा तक गैर-निपटान कचरे की मात्रा के संबंध में 900 करोड़। इस राशि का उपयोग भूमि की वसूली के उपायों के लिए किया जाना है जो कि मूल्य का 10 गुना है।
ट्रिब्यूनल ने पहले कहा था कि दिल्ली और अन्य शहरों में डंप साइट टाइम बम की तरह हैं क्योंकि वे लगातार मीथेन जैसी विस्फोटक गैसें उत्पन्न करते हैं जो ऊर्ध्वाधर और पार्श्व तरीकों से बच सकती हैं, जिससे विस्फोट का लगातार खतरा हो सकता है, जैसा कि एएनआई द्वारा रिपोर्ट किया गया है।
