नई दिल्ली: मुंबई में हर गुजरते दिन के साथ तेजी से बढ़ रहे कोविड के ताजा मामलों के साथ, मुंबई पुलिस और प्रशासन ने गुरुवार को किसी भी बंद या खुली जगह में नए साल के जश्न और समारोहों पर रोक लगाने की घोषणा की। महाराष्ट्र के गृह मंत्री दिलीप वलसे पाटिल ने एबीपी न्यूज को बताया कि शहर में धारा 144 लगाई गई है ताकि लोग नए साल की पूर्व संध्या या समारोह के दौरान इकट्ठा न हो सकें।

पुलिस उपायुक्त (संचालन) एस चैतन्य द्वारा दंड प्रक्रिया संहिता (सीआरपीसी) की धारा 144 के तहत बुधवार को एक आदेश जारी किया गया। अधिकारी ने कहा कि यह आदेश गुरुवार से सात जनवरी, 2022 तक प्रभावी रहेगा।
मुंबई पुलिस का आदेश होटल, रेस्तरां, बैंक्वेट हॉल, बार, पब, आर्केस्ट्रा, रिसॉर्ट, क्लब और छतों सहित किसी भी बंद या खुली जगह में सभी नए साल के समारोहों, कार्यक्रमों, समारोहों और सभाओं पर रोक लगाता है। आदेश में कहा गया है कि ट्रेन, बसें और निजी कारें मौजूदा दिशानिर्देशों और मानदंडों के अनुसार चल सकती हैं।
आदेश का उल्लंघन करने वाला कोई भी व्यक्ति भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 188 (लोक सेवक द्वारा विधिवत आदेश की अवज्ञा) के साथ-साथ महामारी रोग अधिनियम महामारी अधिनियम और आपदा प्रबंधन अधिनियम के प्रावधानों के तहत दंड के लिए उत्तरदायी होगा, आदेश में कहा गया है।
बुधवार को, मुंबई ने 2,510 सीओवीआईडी -19 मामलों की सूचना दी, जो 8 मई के बाद से सबसे अधिक दैनिक जोड़ है। गुरुवार तक, महाराष्ट्र ने 252 ओमाइक्रोन मामले दर्ज किए।
