गन्नौर नगरपालिका के कार्यवाहक चेयरमैन सुनील लंबू ने मंगलवार को उपायुक्त के नाम एसडीएम विश्राम कुमार को एक ज्ञापन सौंपा और कार्यवाहक चेयरमैन के पद से उनका इस्तिफा स्वीकार करने की मांग की।

कार्यवाहक चेयरमैन सुनील लंबू ने कहा कि नगर पालिका गन्नौर में विकास कार्य नहीं हुएइसलिए जत्याग पत्र देने पर मजबूर होना पड़ा। प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के पात्रों को पैसे दिलाने के लिए अनशन पर बैठे थे, जिसे अधिकारियों के आश्वासन देने के बाद समाप्त कर दिया गया था, लेकिन अभी तक भी पात्र लोगों को किश्तें नहीं मिली। इसलिये अपने पद से तयाग पत्र दिया है।

सुनील लंबू ने पिछले वर्ष नगरपालिका में भ्रष्टाचार का आरोप लगाते हुए उपायुक्त को त्याग पत्र सौंपा था। लेकिन कुछ दिनों बाद ही सुनील लंबू ने वापिस ले लिया था और दोबारा कार्यवाहक चेयरमैन का कार्य संभाल लिया था।
