भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ ने घोषणा की है कि 6 बार की विश्व चैंपियन मुक्केबाज एम सी मैरी कॉम और पुरुष हॉकी टीम के कप्तान मनप्रीत सिंह टोक्यो ओलंपिक के उद्घाटन समारोह में भारत के ध्वजवाहक होंगे। IOA ने यह भी खुलासा किया कि पहलवान बजरंग पुनिया 8 अगस्त को टोक्यो खेलों के समापन समारोह में ध्वजवाहक होंगे।

“23 जुलाई को उद्घाटन समारोह के लिए टोक्यो 2020 के भारतीय दल के ध्वजवाहक मैरी कॉम और मनप्रीत सिंह हैं।” IOA अध्यक्ष नरिंदर बत्रा ने एक आधिकारिक पत्र में कहा। उन्होंने आगे कहा, “8 अगस्त को समापन समारोह में भारतीय दल के ध्वजवाहक बजरंग पुनिया होंगे।”
