शहीद यादगार समिति द्वारा शहीद-ए-आजम भगतसिंह की जयंती की पूर्व संध्या पर कुम्हार गेट में भगत सिंह एक विचार विषय पर आयोजित संगोष्ठी अनिल गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता में हुई। कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य वक्ता कृष्ण मलिक रहे।
कृष्ण मलिक ने कहा कि भगतसिंह एक विचार की प्रवाह धारा बन गए इसलिए उस महान विचारक को स्मरण कर रहे हैं। गुलामी के खिलाफ जंग लड़ने वाले कर्मयौद्धा भगतसिंह के परदादा से लेकर पिता व चाचाओं तक ने ब्रिटिश साम्राज्यवाद के खिलाफ संघर्ष किए व यातनाएं झेली। महात्मा गांधी के आह्वान पर स्कूल की पढ़ाई छोड़ आंदोलन में शामिल हो गये। फिर उन्होंने नेशनल काॅलेज लाहौर में दाखिला लिया, जहां इनकी मुलाकात स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दीवाने नौजवानों से हुई। जिसने स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के बारे में भगतसिंह के दृष्टिकोण को और अधिक व्यापक बनाया। भगतसिंह ने विश्व क्रांतिकारी आंदोलनों और विजयी स्वतंत्रता संघर्षों के बारे में बड़ी गहराई से अध्ययन किया। मानवीय दृष्टि से एक बेहतर समाज की स्थापना के लिए आवश्यक है। उनका इंकलाब का नारा आज भी हर जुलूस-रैली में लगता है। सीलक मलिक व सोनू शर्मा ने भगतसिंह के जीवन पर रागनी की प्रस्तुति दी। कार्यक्रम का संचालन कृष्ण वत्स ने किया। संगोष्ठी में अजमेर चौहान, ब्रह्म सिंह दहिया, आशा रानी, विमल किशोर, अलीशेर पठान, राजेंद्र सिंह आदि ने भी अपने विचार रखे।
