तमिलनाडु हादसा: रथयात्रा के दौरान मंदिर की कार हाई-टेंशन केबल के संपर्क में आने से 2 बच्चों समेत 11 की हुई मौत

नई दिल्ली/जीजेडी न्यूज: तमिलनाडु के तंजावुर जिले में एक मंदिर उत्सव के दौरान करंट लगने से कम से कम 11 लोगों की मौत हो गई। पीटीआई की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, एक जुलूस के दौरान मंदिर की गाड़ी (रथ) एक ओवरहेड लाइववायर के संपर्क में आ गई। इस घटना में छह के गंभीर रूप से घायल होने की भी खबर है। घटना कालीमेडु गांव में वार्षिक रथ उत्सव के दौरान हुई।
तिरुचि रेंज के पुलिस महानिरीक्षक वी बालकृष्णन ने कहा कि घटना के बाद पुलिस ने प्राथमिकी दर्ज कर ली है और मामले की जांच कर रही है। तमिलनाडु के मुख्यमंत्री एमके स्टालिन भी स्थिति का जायजा लेने के लिए तैयार हैं। एबीपी नाडु की एक रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि सीएम बुधवार को चेन्नई हवाई अड्डे से 11.30 बजे तिरुचि के लिए उड़ान भरेंगे और सड़क मार्ग से तंजावुर की यात्रा करेंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने मृतकों के परिजनों को पांच-पांच लाख रुपये अनुग्रह राशि देने का भी आदेश दिया है।
यह घटना उस समय हुई जब श्रद्धालु तीन दिवसीय उत्सव के बाद रथ को अप्पर स्वामी मंदिर से वापस ला रहे थे।
एबीपी नाडु से बात करते हुए ग्रामीणों ने कहा, “दुर्घटना इसलिए हुई क्योंकि बिजली बोर्ड सड़क का विस्तार करने के बाद भी हाईटेंशन तारों को हटाने में विफल रहा।”
एक अन्य ग्रामीण ने कहा, “पिछले साल तक हम रथ को एक संकरे रास्ते से ही ले जा रहे थे। सड़क के पास हाई एक्सटेंशन तार मौजूद रहेंगे। हालांकि, इस साल, सड़क का विस्तार किया गया था लेकिन तार सड़क पर बने रहे। मंदिर अधिकारियों ने इसे ध्यान में रखे बिना विस्तारित सड़क के माध्यम से रथ को ले लिया। इसलिए, एक मोड़ पर बातचीत करते समय रथ एक ओवरहेड लाइन के संपर्क में आ गया।”
उन्होंने कहा,” ग्रामीणों ने यह भी बताया कि पास में ही जलमार्ग था जिसके कारण 50 से अधिक लोग रथ के साथ नहीं जा सकते थे। इसलिए जलमार्ग ने लोगों को बचाया।
यह घटना तंजावुर जिले के कलियामेडु में अप्पार स्वामी मंदिर में आयोजित चिथिरई उत्सव के दौरान हुई। ग्रामीण 93 से अधिक वर्षों से पारंपरिक त्योहार का आयोजन कर रहे हैं।
