सोनीपत: अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वृद्ध दिवस 80 साल से अधिक आयुवर्ग के मतदाताओं किया सम्मानित
जिला राजस्व अधिकारी ने बताया कि भारत निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा बुजुर्ग मतदाताओं (80 से ऊपर आयुवर्ग) व दिव्यांग मतदाताओं (40 प्रतिशत से अधिक नि:शक्त) की चुनावों में अधिकतर भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए व्हीलचेयर, रैंप, स्वयंसेवकों, आने-जाने के लिए नि:शुल्क परिवहन सुविधाओं, कतार रहित मतदान जैसी कई सुविधाओं की व्यवस्था की है।

सोनीपत: आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव की श्रंखला में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वृद्ध दिवस के अवसर पर लघु सचिवालय के तृतीय तल स्थित कांफ्रेंस हॉल में 80 से ऊपर आयुवर्ग के मतदाताओं का सम्मान समारोह में जिला राजस्व अधिकारी हरिओम अत्री ने बतौर मुख्यातिथि बुजुर्ग मतदाताओं को सम्मानित किया। इसके साथ ही मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त, भारत निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा जारी कृतज्ञ पत्र देकर उनका आभार प्रकट किया।
जिला राजस्व अधिकारी ने बताया कि भारत निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा बुजुर्ग मतदाताओं (80 से ऊपर आयुवर्ग) व दिव्यांग मतदाताओं (40 प्रतिशत से अधिक नि:शक्त) की चुनावों में अधिकतर भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए व्हीलचेयर, रैंप, स्वयंसेवकों, आने-जाने के लिए नि:शुल्क परिवहन सुविधाओं, कतार रहित मतदान जैसी कई सुविधाओं की व्यवस्था की है। इसके अतिरिक्त इस श्रेणी के मतदाता फार्म 12घ भरकर लोकसभा व विधानसभा चुनाव में घर बैठे-बैठे ही मतदान कर सकते हैं।
डीआरओ अत्री ने बुजुर्गो का सम्मानित किया उन्हें लोकतंत्र में भागीदारी के लिए कृतज्ञ पत्र दिया। बुजुर्गो ने भी अपने विचार सांझा करते हुए बड़वासनी गांव के सुंदरदास ने सम्मान को लेकर भारत निर्वाचन आयोग तथा जिला प्रशासन का धन्यवाद किया। निर्वाचन तहसीलदार सरला कौशिक, निर्वाचन कानूनगो अमरेन्द्र दहिया व सोनिया, कार्यालय सहायक वेदपाल, कमल तथा रिटायर्ड कानूनगो लक्ष्मीनारायण दहिया सहित 80 से ऊपर आयुवर्ग के मतदाता उपस्थित रहे।
