दीनबंधु छोटूराम विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, मुरथल में अखिल भारतीय अंतर विश्वविद्यालय महिला सॉफ्टबॉल प्रतियोगिता प्रतियोगिता 10 से 12 मार्च तक चली जिसमें लीग मैच के आधार पर स्वर्ण पदक पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय, चंडीगढ़ की टीम को मिला।

सोनीपत/नरेंद्र शर्मा परवाना: दीनबंधु छोटूराम विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, मुरथल की प्रथम महिला ने कहा कि खेल मानव के शारीरिक एवं मानसिक विकास का स्रोत है। खेल हमारे जीवन का एक अहम भाग है। खेल ही हमारे शरीर को स्वस्थ, गतिशील एवं स्फूर्ति प्रदान करने में सहायक होते है। बतौर मुख्य अतिथि विश्वविद्यालय की प्रथम महिला इंजीनियर अनायत उन्होंने विजेंताओं को सम्मानित किया।
दीनबंधु छोटूराम विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, मुरथल में अखिल भारतीय अंतर विश्वविद्यालय महिला सॉफ्टबॉल प्रतियोगिता प्रतियोगिता 10 से 12 मार्च तक चली जिसमें लीग मैच के आधार पर स्वर्ण पदक पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय, चंडीगढ़ की टीम को मिला। रजत पदक कालीकट विश्वविद्यालय,कालीकट व कांस्य पदक संयुक्त रूप से दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय व शिवाजी कोल्हापुर विश्वविद्यालय की टीम को मिला।
श्रीमती अनायत ने कहा कि जीवन में सफल बनने के लिए हमें मानसिक एवं शारीरिक रूप से स्वस्थ रहना आवश्यक है। मानसिक एवं शारीरिक रूप से स्वस्थ रहने के लिए खेल अत्यंत आवश्यक हैं। खेल न केवल हमें स्वस्थ रहने में योगदान देकर सक्षम बनाते हैं, अपितु संकीर्णतावादी सोच के विरुद्ध हमें निष्पक्ष, सहिष्णु तथा विनम्र बनाकर एक बेहतर मानव संसाधन के रूप में बदलते हैं। खेलों की महत्ता को दुनिया के प्रत्येक समाज व सभ्यता में स्वीकृति मिली है। प्रतियोगिता के आयोजन सचिव व खेल निदेशक डा.बिरेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा, प्रो.रेखा, प्रो. सुरेंद्र सिंह दहिया, प्रो.सुमन सांगवान, प्रो.पवन दहिया व पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय के खेल उपनिदेशक.राकेश मलिक उपस्थित रहे।
