भारत का तीर्थ: सतकुंभा तीर्थ पौराणिक ऐतिहासिक और अलौकिक सिद्ध पीठ है
इस तीर्थ में सात कुएं होने के कारण यह सतकुम्भा 68वां तीर्थ कहते हैं तो कुछ इसे सप्त ऋषियों की तपस्थली के कारण भी सप्तकुंभ कहते हैं जबकि कुछ विद्वानों का मानना है कि यह सत्य (परमात्मा) का कुंभ है। प्राचीन मान्यता है कि जो भी श्रद्धालु 11 अमावस्या, पूर्णमासी या रविवार को स्नान करता है तो उसकी मनोकामना पूरी होती है। तीर्थ का जल प्राचीन काल से अब तक समाप्त नहीं हुआ, यह अलौकिक है।
गन्नौर: हरि की धरती हरियाणा का जिला सोनीपत इसको उपमंडल गन्नाैर के गांव खेड़ी गुज्जर स्थित सिद्ध पीठ तीर्थ सतकुंभा धाम पौराणिकता और ऐतिहासिकता के साक्ष्यों के साथ गवाह है। गांव खेड़ी गुज्जर में हुई खुदाई के दौरान गुज्जर प्रतिहार कालीन 16 स्तम्भ प्राप्त हुए हैं। प्राचीन शिव मंदिर के उत्तर पश्चिम में अलग आकार की प्राचीन इंटें व प्राचीन स्तम्भ पुराने इतिहास के गवाह हैं। बाबा सीताराम ने इस प्राचीन स्थान को एक बार फिर से जीवित कर दिया और यही लगातार 36 सालों तक तप किया।

सन 1877 में बाबा सीता ने समाधी ले ली इस के बाद ब्रह्मचारी पंडित देईराम ने यहां विकास किया और तपस्या करते हुए समाधी ले ली। यहां पर नागा बाबा का धुना, बाबा सीताराम की समाधी, ब्रह्मचारी पंडीत देईराम की समाधी, प्राचीन शिव मंदिर, सतकुंभा तीर्थ सरोवर, विष्णु लक्ष्मी मंदिर, मां दुर्गा का मंदिर, शनि मंदिर और महाबली हनुमान जी महाराज के मंदिर हैं, यज्ञशाला बनाई गई है। प्राचीन पीपल पेड़ पर धागा बांध कर श्रद्धालू मन्नत मांगते हैं। कार्तिक की पूर्णमासी व सावन के अंतिम रविवार को वर्ष में दो बार मेले लगते हैं।
वर्तमान में श्रीमहंत राजेश स्वरुप महाराज के परम सांनिंध्य में तीर्थ का जीर्णोद्धार किया जा रहा है। यहां प्रबंधक सूरज शास्त्री, पवन शास्त्री और सत्यवान महाराज आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं को अपनी समर्पित सेवाएं देते हैं। लगभग 3000 ईसा पूर्व मध्यकाल में स्वर्ण युग कहलाया। प्राचीन काल में चकवा बैन न्यायप्रिय एवं चक्रवर्ती सम्राट हुए। राजा चकवा बैन मान्धाता राजकोष से कोई भी खर्च न लेकर अपने परिवार का खर्च रस्सी बनाकर व खेतों में स्वयं हल चला कर करते थे। उनकी रानी बिंदु मति अपने परिवार के लिए पीने का पानी स्वयं ही भर कर लाती थी। प्रतापी राजा को पृथ्वी के सभी राजा चकवा बैन को कर के रूप में सोना देते थे। लंका का राजा रावण भी शामिल था। श्री चुन्कट ऋषि ने तप किया। चुन्कट ऋषि का नाम बचपन में श्रीकांत था। जिन्होंने गुरु के रूप मे महाऋषि अंगीरा से आलौकिक ज्ञान प्राप्त किया।
यहां पर किद्वंती है कि चकवा बैन व चुन्कट ऋषि का युद्ध हुआ, राजा चकवा बैन की सेना व राजधानी ध्वस्थ हुई। राजा चकवा बैन ने ऋषि चुन्कट से क्षमा याचना कर हिमालय पर तप किया। राजा चकवा बैन का पतन हुआ, यह स्थान निर्जीव हो गया। जिसके बाद सप्त ऋषियों ने तप किया। सप्त ऋषियों ने साधना की, सात कुएं खोदे, एक तालाब स्थापित किया जिसमें भारत के 67 तीर्थ स्थानों का जल लाकर उसमें अर्पित किया। इसलिए यह भारत का 68वां पावन पवित्र सिद्धपीठ तीर्थ सतकुंभा धाम कहलाया।
