जिला जेल अधीक्षक जयकिशन छिल्लर ने बताया कि मानवाधिकार दिवस पर दिए जाने वाले तिनका तिनका इंडिया अवॉर्ड्स आज हरियाणा की जिला जेल, फरीदाबाद से वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के जरिए जारी किए गए।

जिला जेल अधीक्षक जयकिशन छिल्लर ने बताया कि मानवाधिकार दिवस पर दिए जाने वाले तिनका तिनका इंडिया अवॉर्ड्स आज हरियाणा की जिला जेल, फरीदाबाद से वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के जरिए जारी किए गए। तिनका तिनका इंडिया अवॉर्ड्स जेलों में सृजन करने वाले बंदियों और विशेष काम कर रहे जेल अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों का सम्मानित करते हैं। देशभर की जेलों में बंदियों व कर्मचारियों को मिले इस सम्मान में जिला जेल फरीदाबाद के सात बंदियों व चार जेलकर्मियों को सम्मानित किया गया।
जिला जेल अधीक्षक ने बताया कि भारत की जानी-मानी जेल सुधारक डॉ. वर्तिका नन्दा ने तिनका तिनका अवार्ड्स की परिकल्पना की है। हर वर्ष तिनका तिनका इंडिया अवॉर्ड्स चयनित बंदियों और जेल अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों की उपस्थिति में देश की किसी जेल में जारी किए जाते हैं। यह पुरस्कारों का छठवां वर्ष है। इस वर्ष 3 श्रेणियां रहीं पेंटिंग, विशेष प्रतिभा और जेल प्रशासकों के लिए पुरस्कार। पेंटिंग की श्रेणी में 7 बंदियों को पुरस्कार दिया गया है। जेल में विशेष सेवा के लिए 4 जेलकर्मियों को भी सम्मानित किया गया है।
उन्होंने बताया कि इस वर्ष देशभर से इन सम्मानों के लिए नामांकन की कुल संख्या करीब 300 रही, जिनमें 33 महिला शामिल थी। कार्यक्रम में देशभर के कई जेल अधिकारी शामिल हुए। इस साल पुरस्कारों में फरीदाबाद की जेल में बने लकड़ी के मोमेंटो खास तौर से दिए जा रहे हैं।
