डीसीआरयूएसटी, मुरथल में राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस मनाया गया। कुलपति प्रो.अनायत ने अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों को राष्ट्रीय एकता की शपथ दिलाई। इसके अतिरिक्त महर्षि वाल्मीकि जयंती भी मनाई गई। कुलपति प्रो.अनायत ने महर्षि वाल्मीकि और सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल के चित्र को पुष्पाजंलि अर्पित की।

कुलपति प्रो.अनायत ने कहा कि सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल राष्ट्रीय एकता के अदभुत शिल्पी थे जिनके ह्रदय में भारत बसता था। वास्तव में वे भारतीय जनमानस की आत्मा थे। स्वतन्त्रता संग्राम सेनानी एवं स्वतन्त्र भारत के प्रथम गृहमंत्री सरदार पटेल थे। वे नवीन भारत के निर्माता थे। उन्हे भारत का लौह पुरूष भी कहा जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरदार पटेल एक स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी तथा आजार भारत के पहले गृहमंत्री थे। स्वतंत्रता की लड़ाई में उनका महत्वपूर्ण योगदान था, जिसके कारण उन्हें भारत का लौह पुरुष भी कहा जाता है।

कुलपति प्रो.अनायत ने कहा कि सरदार पटेल को देश की सेवा से सरोकार था, भले ही वह किसी भी भूमिका में हो। स्वतंत्रता के उपरान्त भारत की रूपरेखा वैसी नहीं थी जैसी आज है। भारत उस समय 500 से अधिक रजवाड़ों और राज्यों का एक अव्यवस्थित समूह था। ऐसी अनिश्चितता और अस्थिरता में भारत की अगुवाई लौहपुरुष सरदार पटेल ने की और भारत का मानचित्र बन पाया। कुलपति प्रो.अनायत ने महर्षि वाल्मीकि जयंती अवसर पर श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित किए। उन्होंने समाज को भगवान वाल्मीकि के बताए रास्ते और सिद्धांतों पर चलने का संदेश दिया। इस अवसर पर प्रो.आर.के.सोनी, प्रो.एस.के.ग्रेवाल,प्रो.सतपाल, असिस्टेंट रजिस्ट्रार आनंद राणा, अधीक्षक राजकुमार शर्मा,महेंद्र सैनी,बिजेंद्र अटकान व गोविंद आदि उपस्थित थे।
