लखीमपुर खीरी की घटना के विरोध में सोमवार काफी संख्या में किसान एकत्रित होकर सोनीपत डीसी कार्यालय पहुंचे और वहां पर मुख्य प्रवेश द्वार पर एकत्रित होकर सरकार का विरोध करते हुए धरने पर बैठकर रोष प्रदर्शन किया। किसानों ने पंचायत भवन से लेकर लघु सचिवालय तक रोष प्रदर्शन करते हुए पैदल मार्च किया। किसान नेता रामपत ने कहा है कि मौजूद किसानों ने बताया कि किसानों को रौंदा गया है यह घटनाबहुत ही शर्मनाक है और हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री का एक भड़काऊ बयान सामने आया है। जिसमें नये संगठन बनाने और किसानों पर हमला करने की बात कही जा रही है, यह लोकतंत्र को पूरी तरह से ध्वस्थ करने का षड़यंत्र है।
