‘जनता के साथ अन्याय’: पीएम मोदी ने गैर-भाजपा राज्यों से पेट्रोल, डीजल पर वैट कम करने का किया आग्रह
पिछले साल नवंबर में, जब केंद्र ने पेट्रोल और डीजल पर उत्पाद शुल्क में क्रमशः 5 रुपये और 10 रुपये की कमी की, जिसके बाद कई भाजपा शासित राज्यों और कुछ गैर-भाजपा शासित राज्यों ने भी वैट को कम किया।
नई दिल्ली/जीजेडी न्यूज: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बुधवार को विपक्ष शासित राज्यों से आम आदमी को लाभ पहुंचाने के लिए पेट्रोल और डीजल पर मूल्य वर्धित कर (वैट) को कम करने और इस समय में सहकारी संघवाद की भावना से काम करने का आग्रह किया। देश में कोविड -19 स्थिति की समीक्षा के लिए बुलाई गई बैठक में, पीएम मोदी ने पिछले साल नवंबर में उत्पाद शुल्क में कटौती के बाद पेट्रोल और डीजल पर वैट कम करने के केंद्र के आह्वान का पालन नहीं करने वाले कई राज्यों का मुद्दा उठाया। उन्होंने कहा कि यह वहां रहने वाले लोगों के साथ “अन्याय” है और पड़ोसी राज्यों के लिए भी हानिकारक है।
“पेट्रोल और डीजल की बढ़ती कीमतों के बोझ को कम करने के लिए, केंद्र सरकार ने पिछले नवंबर में उत्पाद शुल्क में कमी की। हमने राज्यों से भी अपने करों को कम करने का आग्रह किया था। कुछ राज्यों ने कर कम किया और उपभोक्ताओं को लाभ प्रदान किया, लेकिन कुछ ने ऐसा नहीं किया, ”उन्होंने समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई के हवाले से कहा।
पिछले साल नवंबर में, जब केंद्र ने पेट्रोल और डीजल पर उत्पाद शुल्क में क्रमशः 5 रुपये और 10 रुपये की कमी की, जिसके बाद कई भाजपा शासित राज्यों और कुछ गैर-भाजपा शासित राज्यों ने भी वैट को कम किया।
वैट कम नहीं करने वाले गैर-भाजपा राज्यों का नाम लेते हुए, पीएम मोदी ने कहा, “महाराष्ट्र, पश्चिम बंगाल, तेलंगाना, आंध्र प्रदेश, केरल, झारखंड और तमिलनाडु ने केंद्र सरकार की सलाह का पालन नहीं किया और इन राज्यों में लोग बोझ हैं। उन्होंने आगे कहा, “मैं इन राज्यों से अनुरोध करता हूं कि वे अब वही करें जो उन्हें नवंबर में करना चाहिए था। वैट को कम करके आप निवासियों पर पड़ने वाले बोझ को कम कर सकते हैं।
मैं किसी की आलोचना नहीं कर रहा हूं, बल्कि अपने राज्यों के लोगों के कल्याण के लिए आपसे प्रार्थना कर रहा हूं।
इस बीच, कांग्रेस महासचिव, रणदीप सुरजेवाला ने ट्विटर पर पीएम से पेट्रोल और डीजल पर उत्पाद शुल्क को और कम करने का आग्रह किया।
“मोदी जी, कोई आलोचना नहीं, कोई ध्यान भंग नहीं, कोई जुमला नहीं! कांग्रेस पेट्रोल के दौरान उत्पाद शुल्क – ₹9.48/लीटर डीजल – ₹3.56/लीटर मोदी सरकार पेट्रोल – ₹27.90/लीटर डीजल – ₹21.80/लीटर। कृपया पेट्रोल में ₹18.42 और डीजल में ₹18.24 प्रति लीटर की उत्पाद शुल्क वृद्धि को वापस लें,” सुरजेवाला ने ट्विटर पर लिखा।
