लाखों लोगो की पदयात्रा का रिकॉर्ड भारत के नाम है। कारोना महामारी से निपटने के लिए लाक डाउन की घोषणा के तुरंत बाद प्रवासी मजदूरों की यह गृह नगर वापसी यात्रा थी।

लाखों लोगो की पदयात्रा का रिकॉर्ड भारत के नाम है। कारोना महामारी से निपटने के लिए लाक डाउन की घोषणा के तुरंत बाद प्रवासी मजदूरों की यह गृह नगर वापसी यात्रा थी। पूर्णतया आत्म प्रेरित और अनियोजित यह यात्रा दिल्ली ,मुंबई ,अहमदाबाद, हैदराबाद आदि महानगरों से अपने घर बिहार बंगाल और उत्तर प्रदेश जाने वाले मजदूरों की यात्रा थी। साथ में पत्नी बच्चे और बैग भी थे। ट्रेन ,बस, ट्रक जैसे वाहनों के आलावा परिवहन के छोटे मोटे साधन भी सड़क से नदारत थे।
भूख प्यास मिटाने वाले राह के होटल ढाबे भी पूरी तरह बंद थे। एक प्रकार से यह बाधा दौड़ की तरह थी। जिसके नियम बहुत कड़े थे। संभवतः कुछ सौ लोग इस कष्ट प्रद यात्रा की भेंट चढ़ गए शेष सब अपने घर पहुंच कर अपनों से जा मिले।

हमारे देश में आरंभ से ही संत महात्मा पैदल यात्रा कर जन जागृति लाते रहे हैं। वह कल्याण यात्राएं थीं जो बहुतों का भला करती गईं। भगवान श्रीराम ने माता सीता जी और लक्ष्मण जी के साथ अयोध्या से देश के धुर दक्षिण तक की यात्रा की। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण मथुरा से द्वारका गए। वो यात्राएं जन जन के कल्याार्थ थीं और जनमानस पर आज भी अपना प्रभाव रखती हैं।
बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी की अंतिम यात्रा में उनके दिल्ली आवास से श्मशान भूमि तक की यात्रा में लगभग दस लाख लोग शामिल हुए। यह अनुयाइयों का उनके प्रति अविरल प्रेम का प्रगटाव और बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी की मानवता परक शिक्षाओं का प्रभावशाली असर था।
प्रवासी मजदूरों की यात्रा उन यात्राओं से एकदम भिन्न थी। यह आने वाले लंबे समय तक चर्चा में तो रहेगी ही साथ ही यह इसलिए भी याद की जाएगी कि कांवड़ यात्री हो या अन्य पदयात्री हमारे देश के दयालु लोग अपने घर से आत्मप्रेरित होकर चाय, दूध, अन्न- जल लेकर हर उस देशवासी का स्वागत करते हैं जो जरूरत मंद हो ,जो भूखा हो ,जो प्यासा हो।
जन्म भूमि की मिट्टी बहुत आकर्षित करती है। इसी लगाव के कारण प्रवासी मजदूर अपने घरों की ओर चल पड़े कि जो भी हो वह निज जनों के बीच हो। इसी लगाव के कारण देश का वीर जवान हड्डी गला देने वाली ठंड में भी ग्लेशियर पर डटा रहता है। इन्हीं उत्तम भावनाओं के कारण ही मेरा भारत महान है। निश्चित ही हमारी संस्कृति श्रेष्ठ और गर्व करने योग्य है।
