नई दिल्ली: कपड़ा उद्योग को राहत देते हुए, जीएसटी परिषद ने शुक्रवार को अपनी 46 वीं बैठक में सर्वसम्मति से कपड़ा पर माल और सेवा कर (जीएसटी) की बढ़ोतरी को 5 प्रतिशत से बढ़ाकर 12 प्रतिशत करने का निर्णय लिया, वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा। शुक्रवार को बैठक।

प्रेस वार्ता में निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा, ‘जीएसटी परिषद की बैठक में कपड़ा पर जीएसटी दर को 5 फीसदी पर बरकरार रखने और इसे 12 फीसदी तक नहीं बढ़ाने का फैसला किया गया है. कपड़ा पर जीएसटी दर का मुद्दा यहां भेजा जाएगा. टैक्स रेट रेशनलाइजेशन कमेटी फरवरी तक अपनी रिपोर्ट देगी। उन्होंने कहा, ‘वस्त्रों पर जीएसटी की दरें एक जटिल मामला है।
30 दिसंबर को, कई राज्यों ने 1 जनवरी से कपड़ा उत्पादों पर उच्च कर दर को हरी झंडी दिखाई और मांग की कि दर वृद्धि को वापस लिया जाना चाहिए।
वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण की अध्यक्षता में जीएसटी परिषद की बजट पूर्व बैठक में गुजरात, पश्चिम बंगाल, दिल्ली, राजस्थान और तमिलनाडु जैसे राज्यों ने कहा कि वे कपड़ा पर जीएसटी की दर को बढ़ाकर 12 रुपये करने के पक्ष में नहीं हैं। 1 जनवरी, 2022 से प्रभावी।
दिल्ली सरकार ने कपड़ा पर जीएसटी दर में वृद्धि के खिलाफ व्यापारियों के विरोध का समर्थन किया और कहा कि वह जीएसटी परिषद की बैठक में इस मुद्दे को उठाएगी, उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने 30 दिसंबर (गुरुवार) को कहा। सिसोदिया ने गुरुवार को कहा कि कपड़ों पर टैक्स बढ़ने से छोटे व्यापारियों का कारोबार प्रभावित होगा और आम आदमी के बजट पर भी बोझ पड़ेगा. इसलिए केजरीवाल सरकार छोटे व्यापारियों और आम आदमी के हक के लिए हमेशा लड़ेगी.
अन्य बातों के अलावा, बैठक में दर युक्तिकरण पर राज्य के मंत्रियों के पैनल की रिपोर्ट पर भी चर्चा हुई।
वर्तमान में, GST दरें 5, 12, 18 और 28 प्रतिशत हैं। साथ ही विलासिता और वंचित वस्तुओं पर उच्च स्लैब पर भी उपकर लगाया जाता है। जीएसटी परिषद 12 और 18 प्रतिशत स्लैब के समामेलन और कुछ वस्तुओं को छूट की श्रेणी से हटाने की मांग पर भी विचार करेगी। यह स्लैब की वसूली के कारण राजस्व पर प्रभाव को संतुलित करेगा।
इस बीच, सीतारमण ने कानपुर में आई-टी छापे पर एक सवाल के जवाब में कहा कि कानून लागू करने वाली एजेंसियां छापेमारी करने में कार्रवाई योग्य खुफिया जानकारी पर काम करती हैं।
एएनआई के अनुसार, मंत्री ने कहा, “आज के आयकर छापे (इत्र व्यवसायियों और एसपी एमएलसी पुष्पराज जैन और अन्य की संपत्तियों पर) भी कार्रवाई योग्य खुफिया जानकारी के आधार पर किए जा रहे हैं। आज के आईटी छापे में असंबद्ध सामग्री सामने आ रही है।
वह यूपी के कानपुर और उन्नाव में सुगंध व्यवसायियों की संपत्तियों की तलाशी के संबंध में जवाब देती है। मंत्री ने समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता अखिलेश यादव पर तंज कसते हुए कहा, “सही जगहों पर छापेमारी की गई… क्या इन खोजों से यूपी के पूर्व सीएम अखिलेश यादव डरे और सहमे हुए हैं?”
“उन्हें (सपा प्रमुख) संगठन की व्यावसायिकता के बारे में संदेह नहीं उठाना चाहिए। (जब्त) नकदी की ऊंचाई इस बात का सबूत है कि कानून प्रवर्तन एजेंसियां ईमानदारी से काम कर रही हैं … क्या हमें चुनाव के बाद ‘मुहूर्त’ का इंतजार करना चाहिए या चोर को पकड़ना चाहिए आज ही ?
