नई दिल्ली/जीजेडी न्यूज: भारतीय रेलवे द्वारा विकसित ट्रेन टक्कर रोधी प्रणाली “कवच” जल्द ही रेल यात्रा को त्वरित और सुरक्षित बनाने जा रही है। रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने शुक्रवार को स्वदेश में विकसित ट्रेन सुरक्षा प्रणाली का निरीक्षण किया। रेल मंत्री द्वारा निरीक्षण दक्षिण मध्य रेलवे क्षेत्र के सिकंदराबाद मंडल के लिंगमपल्ली-विकाराबाद खंड के बीच किया गया।
मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव को ले जा रही दो रेलगाड़ियां एक-दूसरे की ओर टकरा गईं, लेकिन “कवच” सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के कारण आपस में नहीं टकराईं। परीक्षण के तुरंत बाद, रेल मंत्रालय द्वारा एक मिनट लंबा वीडियो साझा किया गया, जिसमें मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव को ले जाने वाली ट्रेन को उसी ट्रैक पर एक और ट्रेन का पता लगाने के बाद रुकते हुए दिखाया गया था।

भारतीय रेलवे द्वारा विकसित, टक्कर रोधी प्रणाली “कवच” SIL-4 प्रमाणित है, जो सुरक्षा प्रमाणन का उच्चतम स्तर है। प्रमाणन का मतलब है कि 10,000 वर्षों में केवल एक त्रुटि की संभावना है। यदि एक निश्चित दूरी के भीतर उसी ट्रैक पर दूसरी ट्रेन का पता चलता है तो सिस्टम को स्वचालित रूप से एक ट्रेन को रोकने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है।
सिस्टम द्वारा पारित कुछ अन्य परीक्षण थे, रियर-एंड टक्कर, लूप-लाइन क्रॉसिंग और ऑटो सीटी टेस्ट। वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने फरवरी में अपनी बजट प्रस्तुति के दौरान आत्मानबीर भारत पहल के हिस्से के रूप में “कवच” सुरक्षा प्रणाली के बारे में उल्लेख किया था। मंत्रालय की योजना इस प्रणाली के तहत 2,000 किलोमीटर के रेल नेटवर्क को लाने की है। कवच को 160 किमी प्रति घंटे तक की गति के लिए मंजूरी दी गई है और दक्षिण मध्य रेलवे की कुछ चल रही लोको परियोजनाओं में पहले से ही तैनात है।
