हरियाणा सरकार पंचायती राज संस्थाओं में उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाली महिला जनप्रतिनिधियों को उप मुख्यमंत्री दुष्यंत चौटाला ने गुड़गांव में आयोजित स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह में सम्मानित किया गया। इसमें गन्नौर क्षेत्र की ब्लॉक समिति चेयरमैन संतोष देवी व बांय की सरपंच कमलेश सैनी को सम्मानित किया गया।
महिलाओं का मनोबल बढ़ाने के लिए चेयरमैन संतोष देवी व सरपंच कमलेश सैनी ने उपमुख्यमंत्री दुष्यंत चौटाला का आभार जताया। बीडीपीओ जितेंद्र कुमार ने बताया कि महिलाओं को और अधिक सशक्त बनाने व प्रोत्साहित करने के मद्देनजर यह निर्णय लिया गया है। ब्लॉक समिति चेयरमैन संतोष देवी व बांय की सरपंच कमलेश सैनी पंचायती राज में बतौर जनप्रतिनिधि श्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन किया है। ब्लॉक समिति चेयरमैन संतोष देवी ने कहा कि पंचायती राज संस्थाओं में सरकार महिलाओं की भूमिका को अधिक सुदृढ़ करने व समाज में उनकी भागीदारी बढ़ाने की दिशा में सरकार निरंतर कार्य कर रही है।
पंचायतों में महिलाओं को 50 प्रतिशत आरक्षण देकर सरकार ने महिलाओं को सम्मान दिया है। सरपंच कमलेश सैनी ने कहा कि यह अपने आप में बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओं की मुहिम से लेकर महिला सशक्तिकरण को बढ़ावा देने की एक सोच है। महिलाओं को स्कूटी भेंट कर उस सोच को सरकार ने नई उर्जा देने का काम किया है।
