जिलाधीश श्याम लाल पूनिया ने कोरोना संक्रमण के शहरी क्षेत्र में बढ़ते हुए प्रभाव को मद्देनज़र रखते हुए तथा पुलिस स्वास्थ्य और राजस्व रिपोर्ट के आकड़ों को देखते हुए जनहित में डिजास्ट मैनेजमेंट एक्ट 2005 की धारा 30 के अन्तर्गत सोनीपत शहर के मॉडल टाऊन, सेक्टर-14 तथा वेस्ट राम नगर को स्थूल नियंत्रण क्षेत्र (मेक्रो कंटेनमेंट जोन) घोषित किया है ताकि कोविड-19 की चैन को तोड़ा जा सके। यह आदेश 30 अप्र्रैल 2021 की प्रात: 9 बजे से 14 जून 2021 सांय 6 बजे तक लागू रहेंगे।

जिलाधीश ने अपने आदेशों में कहा कि प्रतिबंधित क्षेत्रों में आवाजाही पर रोक रहेगी। किसी भी व्यक्ति को आपातकालीन चिकित्सा या अन्य आवश्यक कार्य के अलावा रात 10 बजे से प्रात: 6 बजे तक स्थानांतरित करने की अनुमति नहीं रहेगी। सभी सामाजिक, धार्मिक, राजनैतिक, खेल आयोजनों, सह-सभाओं पर रोक रहेगी। किसी भी आयोजन के लिए प्रशासन की पूर्व अनुमति जरूरी रहेगी। सभी खरीदारी और सिनेमा हॉल, रेस्तरां, बार, जिम, स्पा, स्वीमिंग पुल, धार्मिक स्थान आदि बंद रहेंगे। शादी समारोह के लिए केवल 30 व्यक्ति खुले में तथा 20 व्यक्तियों की हॉल में अनुमति के लिए आवेदन किए जा सकते है। यह आयोजन केवल तीन घंटे में समापन करने होंगे। इसके अतिरिक्त उन्होंने अपने आदेशों में बताया दाह संस्कार के लिए केवल 10 व्यक्तियों के लिए पूर्व अनुमति ली जा सकती है।
कोविड की रोकथाम: सार्वजनिक समारोह में विवाह समारोह के लिए आयोजकों को जिलाधीश से अनुमति लेनी होगी
जिलाधीश ने अपने आदेशों में कहा कि आवश्यक सामान की आपूर्ति के लिए दूध, किराना की दुकाने, दवाई की दुकाने प्रात: 8 बजे से सांय 6 बजे तक खुली रहेंगी। आवश्यक सेवाएं और गतिविधियों जैसे की स्वास्थ्य सेवा, पुलिस, अग्नि, बैंक, बिजली, पानी और स्वच्छता, आकस्मिक सेवाएं सहित संचार के सुचारू संचालन के लिए आवश्यक गतिविधियां जारी रहेंगी।

जिलाधीश ने अपने आदेशों में कहा है कि सेक्टर-14 की मैक्रो कन्टेंमेंट जोन भौगोलिक क्षेत्र को चिन्हित किया है जिसमें मुरथल रोड पर जानकीदास अस्पताल वाली सडक़, मुरथल रोड से अग्रसेन चौक सेक्टर-14 पुलिस चौकी वाली रोड, सेक्टर-14 पुलिस थाने से इजी-डे रोड भारत अस्पताल होते हुए बहालगढ रोड तक, सेक्टर-14 मार्केट से गांधी चौक के मध्य क्षेत्र को सेक्टर-14 कंटेनमेंट जोन में रखा गया है।
वेस्ट राम नगर में मैक्रो कन्टेंमेंट जोन भौगोलिक क्षेत्र को चिन्हित किया है जिसमें ओल्ड रोहतक रोड, सूरी पैट्रोल पम्प वाली गली, जंक्शन तीन नलके वाली गली, ककरोई रोड इंट्री सरदारों वाली गली, जाट कालेज रोड नजदीक पूर्व मंत्री हुकम चंद के मकान तक के मध्य क्षेत्र को कंटेनमेंट जोन घोषित किया गया है।
खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति विभाग: एजेंसियों ने गेहूं खरीद का 82 फीसदी उठान कार्य किया पूरा:बराड़
मॉडल टाऊन मैक्रो कन्टेंमेंट जोन भौगोलिक क्षेत्र को चिन्हित किया है जिसमें सुभाष चौक से एटलस रोड आईसीआईसीआई बैंक, आर्य अस्पताल सामने पैट्रोल पम्प, सुजान सिंह पार्क रोहतक रोड फ्लाई ओवल, ओल्ड डीसी रोड नजदीक आनंद सिनेमा, सुजान सिंह पार्क से फ्रैंडस पार्क, गुरूद्वारा ओल्ड डीसी रोड, ओल्ड डीसी रोड सामने पोस्ट आफिस, मित्तल अस्पताल रोड, आर के स्वीटस सुभाष चौक के मध्य क्षेत्र को कंटेनमेंट जोन घोषित किया गया है। जिलाधीश ने अपने आदेशों में कहा कि मैक्रो कंटेनमेंट जोन मॉडल टाऊन के लिए जसवंत सिंह एक्सईएन नगर निगम सोनीपत को ऑफिसर इंचार्ज लगाया गया है। इनके साथ उप सहायक निरीक्षक सतीष कुमार तैनात रहेगे।
