बलूचिस्तान काउंटर-टेररिज्म डिपार्टमेंट (CTD) ने पुष्टि की कि आत्मघाती हमले ने मस्तंग रोड पर सोहाना खान चेक-पोस्ट को निशाना बनाया था। पुलिस ने पुष्टि की कि घायलों को शेख जैद अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है। पुलिस ने कहा कि आत्मघाती हमलावर ने चेक पोस्ट पर एक कानून प्रवर्तन एजेंसी के वाहन में अपनी मोटरसाइकिल को टक्कर मार दी थी। शनिवार को तालिबान के प्रवक्ता जबीहुल्ला मुजाहिद ने कहा था कि टीटीपी का मुद्दा एक है जिसे इमरान खान सरकार को हल करना चाहिए, अफगानिस्तान को नहीं।
