इस बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी देते हुए उप पुलिस अधीक्षक मुख्यालय सुभाष चंद्र ने बताया कि पुलिस अधीक्षक कुरुक्षेत्र हिमांशु गर्ग के निर्देशानुसार 26 जून को जिला पुलिस कुरुक्षेत्र द्वारा नशीली दवाओं के सेवन और अवैध तस्करी के खिलाफ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस मनाया गया । इस विषय को लेकर रेडियो, प्रिंट, इलेक्ट्रोनिक व सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से संदेश देकर आमजन को नशे को खत्म करने के लिए जागरुक किया गया ।
नशा तस्करों पर नकेल कसने का काम किया
पुलिस अधीक्षक हिमांशु गर्ग द्वारा युवाओं से अपील की गई कि वे अपने कीमती समय को नशे जैसी फालतू की चीजो में नष्ट न करें। उन्होंने युवाओं से आह्वान किया कि वे नशे से दूर रहकर अपना समय पढाई या खेलो में लगायें और अपने लक्ष्य को पाने के लिए मेहनत करें। पुलिस अधीक्षक कुरुक्षेत्र द्वारा जिला में नशे को जड से मिटाने के लिए एन्टी नारकोटिक सैल की स्थापनी की गई है। इस एन्टी नारकोटिक सैल ने जिला में नशा तस्करों पर नकेल कसने का काम किया है।
नाटक के माध्यम से लोगों को जागरुक किया
जिला कुरुक्षेत्र में उप पुलिस अधीक्षक मुख्यालय सुभाष चन्द्र व पुलिस प्रवक्ता नरेश सागवाल के मार्ग निर्देश में एक नाटक मंडली द्वारा शहर के विभिन्न स्थानों पर नुक्कड़ नाटक भी करवाये गये। शहर के न्यू उत्थान थियेटर ग्रुप के संयोजक विकास शर्मा व उसकी टीम के सदस्यों द्वारा नशे से होने वाले दुष्प्रभावों से बचने के लिए नाटक के माध्यम से लोगों को जागरुक किया । नाटक के माध्यम से दिखाया गया कि नशे की एक लत किस तरह से नौजवानों की जिन्दगी बर्बाद कर देती है। इसके साथ-साथ सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर बैनर, फ्लैक्स, पोस्टर इत्यादि के द्वारा भी नशे के खिलाफ आमजन को संदेश दिया गया। पुलिस अधीक्षक के आदेश पर पुलिस पीसीआर, चीता राईडर व पुलिस की अन्य टीमों द्वारा भी आमजन को नशे के प्रति जागरूक किया गया । उन्होंने कहा कि इस तरह के अभियान आगे भी जारी रहेंगे।
