एसडीएम डॉ. किरण सिंह ने कहा कि पहाड़ी क्षेत्र में कई दिनों से हो रही तेज वर्षा के कारण मारकंडा नदी में जलस्तर बढ़ गया है। उपमंडल शाहबाद मारकंडा क्षेत्र में मारकंडा नदी के पास जल की स्थिति कंट्रोल में है अधिकारियों की गठित टीम में 24 घंटे मारकंडा नदी के जल स्तर पर नजर रखे हुए हैं।

एसडीएम ने मंगलवार को एसडीएम कार्यालय में प्रेस वार्ता को संबोधित करते हुए बताया कि बरसात को देखते हुए मारकंडा नदी में जल स्तर बढऩे की आशंका बनी हुई है जिसके कारण मारकंडा नदी के पास लगते गांव मैं मुनियादी करवा कर अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया है मारकंडा नदी के साथ रहने वाले झुग्गी झोपड़ी वासियों को नजदीक के मंदिरों और धर्मशाला में शिफ्ट किया जा रहा है। एसडीएम ने बताया कि अगर जरूरत पड़ती है तो नगर की सामाजिक और धार्मिक संस्थाओं से सहयोग लिया जाएगा ताकि बरसात के कारण किसी को भी किसी दिक्कत का सामना ना करना पड़े।
उन्होंने बताया कि बरसात को देखते हुए स्वास्थ्य विभाग की टीमों को आदेश दिए गए कि नगर वा गांव का दौरा कर लोगों को बरसात के कारण होने वाली बीमारियां मलेरिया तथा डेंगू के बारे में जागरूक करने के साथ-साथ उनका चेकअप किया जाए उन्होंने आमजन से अपील की है कि कॉविड 19 से बचने के लिए प्रशासन व स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा जारी हिदायत ओं का पालन करें तथा सभी प्रशासन का सहयोग करें।
