- 100 से 1000 वर्ष पुरानी वस्तुओं को संग्रहालय में सजाने का कार्य अंतिम चरण में
- सैंकड़ों वर्ष पुरानी वस्तुओं को जिला के लोगों ने संग्रहालय को दी है नि:शुल्क

सोसायटी के अध्यक्ष एवं जिला उपायुक्त ललित सिवाच सोमवार को कोट मोहल्ला क्षेत्र में मौजूद ब्रिटिश कालीन तहसील का जीर्णोद्धार कर बनाए जा रहे जिले के पहले संग्रहालय का निरीक्षण करने के लिए पहुंचे। सोसाइटी के सदस्य सचिव राजेश खत्री और इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय कला केंद्र भारत सरकार के कर्मचारी प्रणव मौजूद रहे। यहां पर जर्जर हुई ब्रिटिश काल की तहसील भवन का जीर्णोद्धार कार्य पूर्ण करने के बाद संग्रहालय बनाने का कार्य अंतिम चरण में है।

सोसाइटी के सदस्य सचिव राजेश खत्री ने बताया कि वर्ष 2000 में इस सोसाइटी का गठन सोनीपत के पूर्व उपायुक्त सुधीर राजपाल ने किया था सबसे पहले सोसाइटी के माध्यम से 600 वर्ष प्राचीन ख्वाजा खिजर मकबरे का सौंदर्य करण करने के साथ-साथ वहां सुंदर पार्क विकसित किया गया था। ब्रिटिश कालीन तहसील के जीर्णोद्धार का कार्य पूर्व उपायुक्त राजीव रतन के नेतृत्व में शुरू हुआ। सोसाइटी जल्द ही इस कार्य को पूर्ण करने के बाद महाभारत काल के समय का निर्मित पांडव कालीन कुआं और यमुना नदी पर घाट बनाने का कार्य भी किया जाएगा और वर्ल्ड के पर्यटकों को यहां सोनीपत आने का निमंत्रण दिया जाएगा।
